Cafe Corners I Keep Coming Back To — Single Dose Coffee, PJ

One project at a time, one feeling at a time.

That’s what reading taught me.
Reading has been a part of my life since I was six. By seven, I was already flipping through entrepreneurship stories — not fully understanding everything, but somehow, it shaped how I saw the world.

I didn’t know it back then, but those pages were already changing the story of my life.

In 2024 and 2025, I took a long break from work. Almost two full years. A lot happened in those years — internally, especially.

And if there’s one piece of advice I’d give from that time, it’s this:
Try doing something you used to love as a kid.

Because I did.

And it brought me back to who I am.
Reading became important to me again. It felt like reconnecting with a part of myself I forgot I missed.
So I started looking for places that matched that feeling — peaceful, slow, intentional.

That’s when I found this spot I keep coming back to: Single Dose Coffee in PJ.

Why I Keep Coming Back

What I love most about this place is how spacious it is.
It’s rare to find cafés that aren’t crammed with tables. Here, you’ve got room to breathe. I even found out about this place through an event — someone was hosting a launch here. That’s how open and versatile the space is.

But what really gets me is the vibe.
It’s a blend of vintage structure and soft, relaxed energy. The kind of place where you’d want to stay until the sun sets. It’s never too loud or too crowded — maybe it’s the interior colors, maybe the layout — but people naturally quiet down here. It’s like the space makes you slow your pace, even without trying.

Their drinks? I always go for their signature dark chocolate.

It’s rich, not too sweet, and doesn’t taste like your typical “chocolate milk.” It tastes like actual chocolate — deep and satisfying.

When I’m here, I feel aligned.
It’s one of those rare cafés where I can sit for hours — read, write, work, or just think.

It’s the kind of place that lets you feel one thing at a time.

And that’s something I really value — especially when life outside moves too fast.

PSA: The Cat Situation

Okay, one more thing I have to mention — and it’s kind of funny.
There’s always this one cat outside.
She shows up, swings around, and starts moaning like she’s in a soap opera.

I’m guessing she’s just… a little too in the mood. 😂

So if you’re not a cat person — or you don’t want to be interrupted by a dramatic, possibly horny cat mid-sip — I’d suggest grabbing an indoor seat.

Just being honest.

This is one of those corners I return to again and again.

It reminds me to slow down.

To reconnect.

To feel one thing at a time.

And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.
